Last April the announcement was made that Betty Shabazz International Charter School had successfully concluded its Clean Water for Tanzania campaign .

On April 24, Mama Charlotte O'Neal returned to the village to accept a $10,000 donation towards the purchase of a solar pump to increase the availability of potable water for the residents of Imbaseni village near Arusha, Tanzania. Mama Charlotte, overwhelmed by the commitment of Shabazz village and the community at large brought greetings and expressions of love and gratitude from her husband and partner, Mzee Pete O'Neal and the Imbasen community.

UPDATE: The T-Water project is making strong progress and is expected to be completed in the Spring of 2009. This is a photo of the water tank, dedicated to Betty Shabazz Internatiional Charter School.
